APPLICATIONS FOR 2019 ARE CLOSED

The 2019 Summer Program will run from May 20 to July 12
 

A successful candidate should

• have U.S.-citizen or permanent-resident status

• have at least one semester of undergraduate studies remaining after the initial summer program (graduating seniors in May 2019 and graduate students are not eligible to apply)

Your submission needs:

• A IDREHSI online application form (Note: this will take you away from the IDREHSI website)

• Two essay questions, each with a limit of 750 words (they are asked as part of the IDREHSI online application form):

  • Your research experience (Please provide a list of all activities related to research experiences such as independent study, laboratory assistant, technician, job shadowing, REU and other internship including the name of the lab or institution, duration and nature of activities.)

  • What do you hope to gain from our REU program? (How might the summer Research Experience help you to attain your career goals? Share your expectations and reasons why you feel particularly qualified for this program)

• Two reference letters from your contacts who can speak to your ability to do research (e.g., faculty members or academic counselors); letters should be emailed to reu.idrehsi@gmail.com

• An unofficial or official copy of your most recent transcript from all institutions you have attended; transcript(s) should be emailed to reu.idrehsi@gmail.com

When to submit

All material must arrive in our office by March 22, 2019, to be considered.
