1. Please plan your trip to arrive at UNI on Sunday, May 19 and leave the campus no earlier than July 12. If you are flying, please make arrangements to fly into the Waterloo Regional Airport (Code: ALO). A copy of your ticket receipt should be sent to reu.idrehsi@gmail.com. After the summer program, you will receive reimbursement once you return home or to your home institution to cover transportation to and from UNI including airfare (if you take the plane) or mileage (if you drive your vehicle) for up to $500. Please note that we are not able to reimburse for any flight insurance, seat upgrades, or flexible fare charges. Detailed information will be given through the program offer email.
2. Contact your designated potential faculty mentor(s) (will be informed by an email normally sent out in early April) to start discussing your possible research topic(s) for the REU program as early as possible.
